Introducing the Large Cup Seamless Nursing Bra

So often I get asked for a seamless maternity or nursing bra larger than an F cup. The seamless nursing bras that I have in stock are all lovely and fit really well on ladies up to an F cup, but even the XL sizes will not fit or give support to anyone larger than an F.

Sugar Candy Fuller Bust Seamless Nursing BraSo hurray for Cake Lingerie who have filled a gap in the market and introduced the Sugar Candy Nursing Bra – a fuller bust seamless nursing bra.

This bra has been specifically designed for the large cup ladies, starting at a 30 band and from an F-HH cup, it has a reinforced bust platform sling and a double layer side support sling to give maximum support to heavy breasts.

It is ideal for during pregnancy, breastfeeding and as a sleep bra, so definitely one for the hospital bag for immediately post birth or for wearing around the house.

Sugar Candy Fuller Bust Seamless Nursing BraIt comes in 3 colours, the basic black and nude but also a gorgeous pink if you like a bit of colour!

The sizing is very simple so this bra will last you at a time when your breasts are changing shape and size during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Royce Poppy Nursing Bra

First up is the gorgeous Royce Poppy Nursing Bra. This bra is great for wearing throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding and is very popular with our customers.

HOTmilk Lure Nursing Bra

HOTmilk Lure Nursing Bra

New to our range this year is the HOTmilk Lure Nursing Bra, which has immediately become a favourite of ours.

This full cup bra is smooth under clothing with the flat lace paneling and smooth, soft microfibre. The flexible underwire offers a higher level of support and expands and flexes with your body reducing pressure on the breast tissue.

We don’t recommend wearing an underwired bra during the first 12 weeks of breastfeeding, but this would make a great gift for that mum who wants to continue breastfeeding beyond that time.

This can be matched with the HOTmilk Eclipse Bikini Brief for a matching set.

Available in sizes 32D-38J.

Price £39.95.

Moulded Nursing Bras

Many of the pregnant ladies and new mums we meet are used to wearing moulded underwired bras and worry about moving to soft cups bras that may not give them the shape they are used to. They are then very surprised when we show them the range of moulded nursing bras we have available.

We are highlighting three of our favourites here, although the full range can be seen on our website.

Cake Mousse Nursing Bra

Cake Mousse Nursing Bra

First up is the very popular Cake Lingerie Mousse Nursing Bra.  This is a great bra for those of you with smaller backs and cups.  Starting at a 30A up to a 38DD, we have found this gives a great shape and with the plunge front, it is perfect for under lower cut tops.  Available in the gorgeous rose pink, or fig if you prefer a darker colour and now, it also comes in maple (skintone).  Matching briefs make this set perfect to make you still feel good about yourself during pregnancy and whilst breastfeeding.

Next we have the absolutely gorgeous Royce Poppy Nursing Bra.  New this summer from Royce, it has been an instant hit for our customers.

Royce Poppy Nursing Bra

Soft and simple with the lovely vintage floral design, it really feels like you are not wearing a bra when you put it on, but it still offers fantastic support.

Sizes available from 32D – 40FF.

Finally, we know that some of you still want an underwired option, so we have the Cake Lingerie Croissant Nursing Bra.

Cake Lingerie Croissant Nursing Bra

Cake Lingerie Croissant Nursing Bra

Now, we don’t recommend that you wear an underwired nursing bra until baby is at least 12 weeks old, but many of our ladies who are feeding beyond 6 months really like this style as it gives them the support of an underwired bra and the fabric gives a smooth line under your tops.  As with the Cake Mousse Nursing Bra, this also has a lower front making it look like an ‘ordinary’ underwired bra, and is suitable for lower cup tops, even in the larger sizes.

Available in 3 colours, dark, light and the new raisin (purple), this is one of our bestselling underwired nursing bras in 32C – 40H.

So, these are three of our favourite moulded nursing bras, and we have just added to the website the new Royce Pollyanna Nursing Bra, another skintone moulded nursing bra.

We’d love to hear from you if you have a favourite moulded nursing bra.

Royce Blossom Nursing Bra

When Royce first introduced the Blossom Nursing Bra, I was still breastfeeding my youngest son, so decided to try this new style out for myself.

Since writing the post, the bra is also now available in an animal print, or Spring Blossom, ideal for lighter coloured tops with a gorgeous pink strap!

We currently have the bra in our January sale, so grab yourselves a bargain! 😉

Here is the review I wrote of it at the time (first published July 2013).

_____________________________________________________________________________

Royce introduced this new style of nursing bra earlier in the year and I have been very impressed with it.

Royce Blossom nursing bra

It is very comfy to wear, very supportive and I like that it is simple but pretty at the same time.

It has an innovative feature of a drawstring in the centre of the bra so that you can change it from a crop top style to a lower plunge style for lower cut tops.  I have also found this design useful as I have been losing weight as I have been able to pull the bra into the plunge style which has still given me support as my breasts have become smaller.  In a normal cup sized bra, I would have had to go down a cup size but not in this style, just yet!

Because of the design, the bra covers three different cup sizes (C/D/DD, E/F/FF, G/GG/H) which is great for both pregnancy and those early days of feeding when your breasts can change size quite significantly.  I also like the side support slings which give soft but firm support.

Currently it is only available in the black with white spots, but a new pattern is going to be introduced later in the year!

Welcome Chelle, a new Bras4mums ambassador

Chelle blogs at Unique and Chic – a website she says covers everything unique even when you don’t feel quite as chic – sharing her own and others parenting stories along the way. You can find her on twitter as @chellemccann.

I have known TJ since 2010 – I had just finished breastfeeding but I knew what a fabulous website and how helpful it could be for new mums to be both with products and the great advice. You may have seen me blogging on the site before!

After having my daughter it took quite a few years (nearly 4 in fact) to even consider having a second child in our house. After a few years of non existent and very irregular periods as well as scans to find out what was wrong we found out that we were pregnant 2 days before our daughters 4th birthday. Time wise I have a thing about how dates work out – 2 days before my 30th birthday I found out that we were expecting Fizz. A good omen perhaps?

Pregnancy this time around has been pretty different and since I am already in the third trimester I feel like I have some catching up to do with the Bras4Mums readers.

So what was so different in the first and second trimester….

Flutterings: When I was pregnant with Fizz I felt these for the first time around 18-19 weeks. I knew that often mums can feel these much earlier in subsequent pregnancies. I started to feel something around 12 weeks but convinced myself that it wasn’t possible so early. Turns out it is.

Appointments: This time I have less with the midwife and more with various other people. Level 11 is becoming pretty well known to me already for glucose testing, blood testing, scans and next up a consultant.

Bumpage: The bump is huge at 16 weeks. It has taken me by surprise!

Sickness: woahhh it was no where near this bad last time. This time I have actual vomiting. My head feels like it wants to explode afterwards.

Tiredness: Yes I know with a small person around it was bound to be more tiring this time. I am so lucky that I work freelance now. I have had to adapt both my working hours and Fizz’s nursery hours to ensure that tiredness does not have a knock on both areas. Fizz seems to love full nursery days so thats a win now as is the fact that daddy can do drop off and pick ups too.

What did you find surprising second time around?

NEW Bravado Silk Seamless nursing bra with matching briefs

“The Body Silk Seamless nursing bra was designed to melt onto your body, and give you comfort unlike any you’ve experienced from a bra before (nursing or not!). This moulded foam cup bra offers you a seamless silhouette, lovely shape and great support. And because the foam cups are removable, you have the option of a thicker cup lining to hide nipples and breast pads when you need it.”

Bravado Seamless-redThese are big claims from Bravado Designs, but from all our experience over the last 10 years of supporting women during pregnancy and breastfeeding, we’re happy to endorse this bra as one of our bestselling bras EVER!

Review – HOTmilk Eclipse nursing bra

Our reviewer Liz is halfway through her second pregnancy. Here she reviews the Bras4Mums bra fitting service and the Hot Milk Eclipse. This was first published on Brighton Mums

HOTmilk Lingerie black nursing bra

HOTmilk Eclipse nursing bra

I was delighted to receive in the post my new HOTMilk Eclipse bra yesterday. I found the process of getting a well fitting bra very simple through Bras4mums. I had a phone consultation with TJ at a prearranged time and she talked me through my body shape, current size, pre-pregnancy size and my style preferences. It seems she made unerring judgement about what would fit as the first size she suggested is spot on, despite me having doubts about it.

This is my second pregnancy and I managed to get through the first, as well as 16 months of breastfeeding, with my (now) F cup boobs staying in pretty much the same place. This was through judicious purchasing of bigger and bigger supportive bras and being re-measured regularly! However, somehow in this second pregnancy I feel much more relaxed about everything and more reluctant to shell out loads of money – pregnancy feels more like a transition period this time rather than a major event in itself. Still, after a few weeks of struggling with wearing my pre-pregnancy, wired bras, and then a few more of wearing last pregnancy’s (now) ill-fitting non-wired ones, I have admitted to myself it really is important to be both comfortable and supported, with a new and properly fitting bra.

First of all to check I liked the style and to get a rough idea of fit, TJ sent out a bra that was one cup-size too big while she waited for the new stock to arrive. This was a great idea as it gave us both an inkling if whether we were on the right track. Finding it fitted round the back but was too big in the cup (as expected) I sent this back and the new one in the right size arrived as soon as it came in stock.

The HOTmilk eclipse is an excellent bra. It is very full in the cup and has 3 hook fastenings at the back. This makes for a very supportive bra and my boobs are still in the same place at the end of the day as they were at the beginning (anyone with big boobs knows this isn’t a given!). It doesn’t dig in anywhere, and despite having gone up a backsize in order to accommodate the fact my ribcage will expand, it doesn’t seem to be riding up at the back. It’s quite attractive too with plenty of lace in various places. Its sister bra, the ivory HOTmilk Luminous is also very attractive and I will shortly be ordering one of these in the same size. The additional bonus is that both of these bras have drop cups and will be suitable for breastfeeding (if I don’t grow too much before then!).

All in all I’m very pleased with this new bra and look forward to going back to Bras4mums for advice as I expand during the pregnancy!

This service and the bra were given to Liz free of charge in exchange for an honest review. If you need bra fitting advice, contact info@bras4mums.co.uk
